Just a few points from my recent trip here:

* Mostly quiet (there is a cockerel next door that can be very annoying and also a church from which... read more you can hear chanting early morning at the weekend).
* Located on a hill, but completely manageable unless you are incredibly unfit. It did look hardwork pushing a pram up though.
*The pool area is smallish, however we had it to ourselves most days so it didn't matter. The pool is big enough to swim in and the pool area gets the sun all day.
*The bottom floor rooms are fine unless you want a balcony/good view.
*The one bedroom apartments have a small kitchen with limited surface space for prep, two hobs, a sink and fridge plus kettle, filter coffee machine and toaster.
*Great shower. The hotel provides shower gel, shampoo and body lotion. No bars of soap.
*The bed is very comfortable.
*WiFi is free and is decent in the living area, hit and miss in the bedroom and unavailable by the pool. Occasionally drops out.
*The best restaurants are located nearby.
*The beach nearby is a pebble beach but with sand added along the top. The sandy area is mostly filled with loungers.
*There is a supermarket on the main road down ftom the hotel, easy to walk to and from.
*The people running the hotel are very nice and helpful.

  We booked for June 2020, couldn’t visit due to pandemic. We we’re told by Anna we could re book prior to September 2022.

I have phoned and emailed daily for about 2 months. I have not been answered. And so have no idea if this place is still open or if my voucher still stands. I feel so disappointed that Anna had not answered me and assume my money is now lost to them.
Has anyone visited? Can you advise me how to contact them as their advertised email address and phone number go unanswered.
Any help greatly received.

  The Agrimia Apart'hotel is situated in 'Upper Platanias' that is to say not on the main road in front of the beach. The beach is only 15 minutes away down... read more a not very steep hill. Platanias itself has all you really need for a holiday for all types. Upper Platanias is more quiet and couples family orientated, with lots of really good local food. The Agrimia is a small complex with its own pool. No pool bar, no music, great! All the sun beds etc are top quality hardwood with upholstered cushions. All the external area is kept in immaculate condition and cleaned daily. We were in an apartment, there are some studios, which was a really good size with quality furniture and a huge bed. The bed was extremely comfortable which made getting up in the morning a difficult choice! Bed linen and towels were changed every other day and the apartment cleaned daily. Good proper shower, not just a hand held thing. Endless hot water. Lots of things in the apartment such as decent wine glasses crockery etc. A toaster and coffee maker as well as a kettle. Fridge and two ring hot plate.
TV with satellite didn't have many English Channels but did have Sky news, which was all I wanted. best place I have stayed in Crete ever and will go again. Ask for a sea view, fantastic. Also a bottle of wine on arrival which was very welcoming.

Satellite TV with a relatively high number of international channels was provided. The staff was very kind and helpful. The bath had a very nice shower. the swimming pool was clean and comfortable. the only problem could be related to the location, which is at the top of a little hill over the town. Nevertheless, it assured very calm and relaxing nights

The pool is perfect for children as it has a shallow area for them, it is extremely clean and the sun beds are comfy.

It is located up a hill but not unmanageable with two young children 2&3. The walk into the main strip was lovely in the evening. The restaurants surrounding the apartments are wonderful too.

All in all- great location, great apartment, awesome pool and a fabulous holiday.

All appliances were in working condition, the apartment is cleaned every day, and towels and bed linen were changed every three days. I am a very picky person, but I am very satisfied with this holiday rental. Would recommend it to all. Anna - the hotel owner is a wonderful person and I will 100% will visit this hotel again.

  We have just returned from 2 weeks staying at the Agrimia apartments in th old /upper part of Platanias. These are very spacious, clean and very well appointed apartments.
It... read more is a family run business and extremely well run. We had a separate large bedroom which included air conditioning and wall safe. We had two balconies one of the bedroom overlooking the pool and one large one leading off from the lounge/kitchen at the front. Although the apartments were on a hill above the main street which was sometimes a bit of a haul in the heat we experienced we were rewarded with some wonderful views. We could not fault the facilities nor the cleanliness.
One thing that did strike us as being odd was the lack of communication before we arrived. We booked the apartments through an agent and in order to confirm this with the apartments I emailed them on a number of occasions for confirmation and also to advise them of our arrival time. We never received any sort of reply. Speaking to two other couples this was the same with them even ignoring phone calls. Strangely odd we thought. However, we did have a great time at these apartments -highly recommended.
